Beth’s Biography
My name is Beth Still and I teach Social Studies in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.
I decided to call my blog Nebraska Change Agent because I am dedicated to making a difference in education. I am passionate about finding ways to help my students get engaged in learning again. So many of my students have been disengaged for so long that it is hard for them to get back on track. I believe that by creating a safe, welcoming environment it will help my students succeed.
I am a self-proclaimed edtech evangelist! I love finding Web 2.0 tools for my students to use that will help them express their creativity. I believe that by giving students options it empowers them and drives them to succeed. I use Skype and Twitter to help connect my students to the world. I am trying to teach my students how to collaborate using Google Docs. Many of the digital projects they complete are published on the web.
I am a huge proponent of professional networking. I learn new and exciting things from people in my PLN every day. Collaborating with other teachers in my PLN on various projects has been very rewarding.

I am a writer for onlinedegrees.org and I am including you on my upcoming list of the top 100 technology blogs for teachers (your site was actually recommended by a fellow blogger) I was wondering if you could write me an e-mail so I could respond with questions about your blog to include in my post (alexisbrett@gmail.com) Thanks!

Hi there Beth,
I enjoyed reading your blog and wanted to say thank for the work you are doing to promote technology in today’s classrooms. I thought you and your readers might be interested in a new tool I am working on which I believe will also help students succeed.
I am preparing to launch a text messaging tool for teachers, so I thought I’d share it and perhaps get some of your expert feedback on.
Here’s the info if you’re interested: http://www.classparrot.com/PREVIEW

Beth,
I enjoy reading your blog I Quit. I wish more NE teachers would allow students to take ownership of their learning.
I would love to Skype with you students. I use Skype for online academic coaching.
Please email or call if you would like to brainstorm ideas using Skype and Twitter with your students. I have an idea teaching history using Twitter and facebook.
